The main focus of this kumite is to practice the basics, namely accurate uke and powerful counterattacks. Moving forward and backward is referred to as tenshin, whereas dodging sideways is termed as Sabaki. Both the attacker and defender can choose their kamae between motodachi and nekoashi dachi. The attacker must strike tome tsuki, while defender have to strike hiki tsuki. In addition, it is possible to change the sequence of the practise depending on the level of the players.

2b. Step Forward with your back foot into Migi Zenkutsu Dachi & strike Migi Chudan Seiken Tsuki 2b. Step backward with front foot into Migi Zenkutsu Dachi, Migi Chudan Uchiuke (left arm at Hikite --- Move body diagonally)

3. Gedan (下段)

4. Maegeri (前蹴り)

5. Mawashigeri (回し蹴り)
